Pitot/static & sensors
Wash methods should avoid careless direct spraying, contamination or physical contact around pitot tubes, static ports, probes and other sensitive components.
Static wicks & edges
Technicians should maintain awareness around static wicks, antennas, edges, vortex generators and other delicate protrusions while washing, drying and polishing.
Composites & coatings
Products and correction methods should match the surface. Composite skins, painted finishes, de-ice components, polished metal and coated surfaces do not all respond to the same chemistry or technique.
Cabin materials
Leather, Alcantara, wood veneer, high-gloss cabinetry, metal trim, screens and cockpit areas require material-specific cleaning and controlled moisture.
Airport access
Work should be coordinated with the aircraft owner/operator and the applicable airport, hangar or FBO requirements. Access and ramp rules are part of the service plan.

Stop-work / escalation
If a condition appears to require maintenance, repair or technical evaluation, detailing stops in that area and the operator or maintenance contact is notified.
